An expert panel has self-affirmed FloraGLO crystalline lutein from Kemin Health, Des Moines, IA, as GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe) for new applications and higher inclusion levels. This self-affirmation expands the level of use and food applications from those that were the subject of an earlier GRAS notification made by Kemin to FDA.
